First lady welcomes stakeholders to the White House to spur awareness, interest and investment into the future of women’s health.
First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, joined by President Joe Biden on Wednesday, hosted the first White House Women's Health Research Conference to spotlight the lack of research and funding in women’s health.
Physicians shared stories about a range of conditions impacting women from nausea during pregnancy to hormonal issues in menopause.
Among the attendees were academic researchers, innovators, investors, businesses, advocates, elected officials, federal agencies, representative public, private, and non-profit leaders. The first lady shared with the attendees how over the past year she has traveled the country meeting researchers as well as influential people in the finance and academic sectors to create connections across industries.
