Passes Now Available for New ‘White House Experience’
The White House Historical Association launches timed-entry passes to ‘The People’s House: A White House Experience’ opening Sept. 23.
Visitors to Washington, D.C., can reserve timed-entry tickets to the newest immersive exhibit The People’s House: A White House Experience, the White House Historical Association announced this week.
The People’s House: A White House Experience is a White House educational experience opening to the public on Monday, Sept. 23, which will tell the story of the Executive Mansion, its inhabitants, and the people who have dedicated their careers to its function.
Visitors can now reserve free passes through October to plan their visit. Passes are available on thepeopleshouse.org by clicking the “Reserve Passes” button at the top right. The People’s House will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, but will occasionally be closed for special events and pre-scheduled maintenance.
Located steps from the White House at 1700 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, the 33,000-square-foot three-floor site will feature exhibits and galleries bringing the White House and its storied history to life. Visitors will interact with a large-scale White House model, recreation of the Rose Garden, full-scale replica of the Oval Office, recreation of White House moments, and more dimensional galleries combining immersive media and inventive scenic representations.
“This will be a technology-rich, immersive experience where you will actually go into spaces and, due to the miracles of modern technology, those spaces will become White House rooms around you,” said Stewart McLaurin, President of the White House Historical Association, in a news release.
The People's House encourages groups of 10 or more to reserve free timed-entry passes by emailing TPHReservations@whha.org. To help prepare for your visit, large groups will be asked to fill out a group request form.
