New Special Envoy Will Lead Melania Trump’s Fostering the Future Together Global Initiative
Charity Wallace will serve as the special envoy for Best Future Generations, a role leading the efforts of the first lady’s initiative.

The United States Department of State on Tuesday announced Charity Wallace was sworn in as the special envoy for Best Future Generations. The role will lead the U.S. efforts in support of First Lady Melania Trump’s Fostering the Future Together Global Initiative—uniting spouses of global leaders to champion the well-being, safety, and future success of children through the innovative use of advanced technology.
A proven architect of public-private partnerships, Wallace has spent her career building coalitions and programs that deliver results for children and families worldwide. She brings deep expertise in global development, foreign policy and education—including organizing presidential-level summits with nearly 30 African first ladies, mobilizing more than $4.1 billion in private sector investment as senior vice president at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, and developing landmark education and empowerment programs for women and children across Africa and the Middle East.
