The former first lady alongside her brother speaks out for the first time in months about the duo’s new podcast that launched this week.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama said in her first public appearance in months that the last year was “pretty rough” in front of a huge crowd Thursday during a live taping of her new video podcast “IMO” co-hosted with her brother, Craig Robinson, at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas.
“We lost our mom this year,” Obama said alongside her brother during the session.
