First Lady Melania Trump, speaking out for the first time since a man was apprehended and later accused of attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump, excoriated comedian Jimmy Kimmel in a social media post Monday after he called her an “expectant widow” during a skit airing Thursday on his late night show.
The joke was made on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” during the monologue days before an accused gunman charged through a security checkpoint at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in a hotel in Washington, D.C., where shots were fired resulting in a Secret Service agent being shot, but saved by his bulletproof vest.
