Melania Trump Announces Annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House

First Lady Melania Trump on Thursday announced that the White House will host the 147th Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn.
The event will take place April 21 and a select number of tickets through a lottery system are available to the public to attend. The lottery opens on March 4 at noon ET and closes on March 10 at noon ET. The results of the lottery will be announced on March 18.
The planning of the egg roll traditionally falls on first ladies, each incorporating her own tastes and interests to the event, according to the White House. First Lady Lou Hoover had part of the South Lawn roped off for folk dancing. First Lady Pat Nixon introduced the traditional egg roll races.
