Mother-daughter duo co-author new children’s book “First Ladies Make History.”
Big questions about America’s first ladies have persisted over time. Among the biggest are from adults and children alike asking, “What do first ladies do?”
The answers are unique to each first lady and are explored in a newly released children’s book, First Ladies Make History by mother-daughter co-authors Anita and Giovanna McBride. The first-of-its-kind book published by The White House Historical Association and illustrated by John Hutton explains that the role of first lady is undefined, but has served to make the world a better place. Specifically, the book shows the important contributions the women have made to society for more than 200 years.
