Jill Biden Unveils White House Holiday Decorations Honoring the Military and Their Families
The first lady responds to the pardoning of her son, Hunter, during the event.
First Lady Dr. Jill Biden ushered in the holiday season at the White House Monday officially unveiling the seasonal décor in events honoring National Guard members and their families and thanking the hundreds of volunteers who trimmed the residence.
From the East Room, the first lady began her final holiday message to the nation by “turning toward the hope of tomorrow.”
“As we celebrate our final holiday season here in the White House, we are guided by the values that we hold sacred—faith, family and service to our country,” she said, speaking from a small platform placed in between the East Room’s two Christmas trees, which were decorated with white lights and white and silver ornaments.
