Jill Biden: ‘Community Colleges Will Always Have My Heart’
Delaware Technical Community College honors the first lady by dedicating the Student Success Center in her name.

In 1993, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden started teaching at Delaware Technical Community College at a time when colleagues, looking back, kid about the conditions of the school—leaking windows in her old office (a cubicle actually), 1970s pink carpet lining the halls and inadequate lighting throughout.
Those memories on Friday were permanently cast to the past as the school in Newark, Delaware, paid tribute to the first lady in a ceremony dedicating The Dr. Jill T. Biden Student Success Center in her honor.
