Something Lost, Something Gained is the latest memoir by Hillary Rodham Clinton. An interesting retrospect on Clinton’s life that bounces around in chronology as if she were sitting down with a cup of coffee and just chatting about her opinions and experiences as they came to mind. She covers topics from her childhood and parents; her life as first lady of Arkansas and later of the United States; her political life as senator, secretary of state and candidate for president; and her thoughts as a daughter, a wife, a mother, and grandmother.
It is thoughtful and contemplative, sometimes humorous, sometimes dark, but always very much a reflection of a very public person, separating further from the well-known or assumed persona.
