First Lady Breaks Her Silence Since Joe Biden Dropped Out of the Race

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden spoke out Wednesday for the first time since her husband, President Joe Biden, decided not to run for reelection thanking supporters who “never wavered” and urging supporters to “put that trust in Kamala.”

Jill Biden posted her statement on her personal social media accounts shortly after President Biden gave a prime-time, televised address from the Oval Office to the nation explaining his decision to exit the race after mounting pressure from members of his own party in the wake of a poor performance in the presidential debate against former President Donald Trump. 

In a handwritten statement, the first lady said:

“To those who never wavered, to those who refused to doubt, to those who always believed, my heart is full of gratitude.
