Betty Ford Featured on New Girl Scouts Patch
The former first lady is the second presidential wife to have a patch in her name.

Girl Scouts and America’s first ladies have had a long association since former First Lady Edith Wilson served as the first honorary president of the organization in 1917 to former First Lady Michelle Obama, who accepted the position in 2009.
So it might be surprising to learn there are only two Girl Scout patches named for former ladies that can be earned. The second patch honoring former First Lady Betty Ford was rolled out just last month along with special programming through the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
